I am pleased to recommend Van-Del Contracting Ltd. and in particular Don Stevanus, Jeff Almond and Chris Stevens. Van-Del Contracting was one of the prequalified general contractors that bid on our Adelaide Place Retirement Community project in Lindsay, Ontario and ultimately the successful bidder of this Group “C” 125unit/125,000 sqft retirement home. The Adelaide Place project was completed on time and on budget – to be completely accurate, slightly under budget.

Because of Van-Del Contracting’s professional, innovative and collabrotive approach in the Adelaide Place project, we selected them four our next project without using a bid process – our Birkdale Place Retirement Community, 104 unit / 104,000 sqft project in Milton, Ontario. Van-Del Contracting will complete this project on a fixed contract pricing agreement. This project is scheduled for model suites to be available for marketing next month (July) as planned and occupancy will take place in January 2012 as scheduled. General Contractors must clearly understand owners, requirements for cost control and quality – both are paramount to our project development team and Van-Del contracting has met or exceeded our expectations for these measures.

During construction of both projects, Van-Del Contracting holds a site meeting every two weeks, attended by the architect, engineers, construction manager, site supervisor, owners’ representatives and, many times, Van-Del Contracting ownership. Van-Del Contracting conducts these meetings with the same care and thoroughness as they manage the actual constructions. Meetings are on time and progress is measured against the construction schedule and budget, on an ongoing basis.

Van-Del Contracting is one of our trusted and valued General Contractors and we will engage them on future planned projects in 2011, 2012 and beyond.
